The racing class

Improved Production Racing Association shapes Australian motorsport through accessible, affordable racing built on modified production cars.

Origins

How improved production racing took root in Australia

The Improved Production Racing Association emerged from a simple idea: take ordinary cars from the showroom and modify them for genuine competition. What began as grassroots racing has grown into a structured national series that spans all seven Australian states, each with its own governing body united by common regulations and shared passion.

Freedom

Rules that let you build fast cars

The regulations are tight where they matter and loose where they don't. This balance lets engineers and builders push hard without losing control of the competition.

Engine modifications within specified limits

Suspension and chassis tuning permitted

Aerodynamic upgrades for performance gains

Leadership

Our team

All these positions are held by passionate individuals who give up their free time to ensure your individual views are conveyed to a National forum.
